Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed to transfer Manchester City wing midfielder Leroy Sane on a five-year contract. Sport Bild claims the 24-year-old has agreed terms with Munich, but the matter of payment has yet to be negotiated.
Bayern sport director Hasan Salihamidzic and board member Oliver Kahn want to buy it for a transfer value of 40 million euros ($ 43 million) or half of Sane’s estimated market value. The German international has not played for City’s first team since suffering a ligament injury to his right knee in August last year.

After joining from Schalke in 2016 for 37 million pounds (42.5 million euros), Sane is under contract in Manchester until 2021. Munich has actually been interested since last summer and prepared an offer of 100 million euros before injury struck.
According to Sport Bild , several factors could help Munich recruit Sane at a lower cost, especially since he has been absent for much of the season. In addition, also because the transfer market is being deflated by uncertainty over the corona virus.
Manchester City need income from transfers to comply with financial regulations which have been banned from the Champions League for the next two seasons due to violations. Moreover, they risk losing Sane to Munich on a free transfer.
