Steph Isuma is a Nollywood actor popularly known as Calabar Chic. She is an actress and comedian who has carved a niche for herself with her hilarious skits that has commanded huge followership on social media platforms.
The 28-year-old Cross River State-born is surely a gal of many parts as an actress, stand up comedienne, events compere, screen writer, voice over artiste, entrepreneur, amongst others. A graduate of Mass Communication from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Calabar Chic is also the initiator of ‘Pad Our Girls’- a self-funded project she is using to provide free sanitary pads to underprivileged school girls cross the country on a monthly basis.

Funnily enough, I didn’t give myself the name other people did after watching the first skit I posted. Some started calling me ‘The Calabar girl,’ ‘The Calabar Babe,’ ‘The Calabar Chic.’ So I stuck to ‘The Calabar Chic.’ I have been building my brand with the name ever since.
Fashion:
I am fashionable but most time I like to dress casually, smart casual except the occasion calls for a glamorous look. I like to feel comfortable in whatever I put on. I wear heels often but I prefer to wear sneakers every day if I could.
Acting:
I never planned to become an actor. It just happened. My first time on a movie set wasn’t exciting at all. I was mostly nervous because I went to the movie set to give a copy of a movie script I wrote to the famous director, Lancelot Imasuen
On getting there, he needed someone to play a character and there was nobody available so he made me play the role. That was my first time acting and I acted alongside Majid Mitchel, a popular actor. I was nervous but I got applause after my performance. That was the beginning of my acting career.
