Standing at 6 foot 3 inches in height, Frankincense Eche-Ben, first started acting unprofessionally as a youngster in primary school, is no new comer to the small screen and big screens. In the year 2001, he joined the Nigerian movie industry, popularly known as Nollywood, few weeks later, he auditioned for and got his first movie (lead) role as “Arthur” in a movie based on cultism titled MACABRE, which was eventually never commercially released but was premiered at the National Arts Theatre in Lagos Nigeria and thereafter taken on a tour of Nigerian universities. MACABRE was produced and directed by the duo of Wale Adebayo(Sango) and Bayo Bankole(Boy Alinco).

With works cutting across film, TV, Theater and Radio he also gets featured across all 7 Africa Magic Channels on various projects, endeavours which all have over time, seen him work with most heavyweights in Nigerian entertainment and many of the Ghanaian as well as the Hollywood counterparts. After series of auditioning and screen tests, an offer of presenting and news casting for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) was in November 2014 passed up on by him because of the rigidity of programme schedules which could greatly hamper his acting career.

He got a FUTURE AWARDS nomination in the actor of the year category in 2006.
On the 28th of February 2009, Frankincense was conferred with the AFRICAN YOUTH ROLE MODEL AWARD; a merit award, by the AFRICAN YOUTH SOCIETY. He was also awarded the best upcoming actor at the ZAFAA AWARDS held in London in October 2010.
